Q. 1 What inspired you to get into the food industry?

As a kid, I always used to help my grandmother while cooking, which got me interested in the nuances of cooking. I was also fond of art and found the pastry world to be an extension of art. I have an experience of 20 years being a Pastry Chef with some of the best-in-class hospitality brands. I have always been a good mentor for my juniors while at work and was always driven by my passion for doing creative work and that’s how the journey at THE HOME BAKER started and we are very soon gonna be rebranding THB.

Q.2Kindly share some information about your business.

The Home Baker operates from a Home kitchen where all the delicacies are made hygienic and with quality ingredients.  From cookies, bread, tarts, pastries, celebration cakes, or healthy treats for your loved ones we are a one-stop shop for all your sweet cravings. our products are enjoyed by all age groups as we have something for everyone – be it a baby shower cake, a 3D harry potter cake, want to order some healthy treats for your diabetic grandparents, or enjoy customized hampers for festivals.

Q. 3 What is your Unique Selling Point(USP)?

Creating memories.with 20+ years of experience the Home Baker is a one-stop shop for all your sweet tooth desires and bakes. Be it celebration cakes, pralines to healthy treats like gluten-free/vegan/sugar-free options for your loved ones or a specially themed party dessert table, we have got it all covered. we love to create memories for our clients, hence customization is our forte. maintaining the highest hygiene and product quality standards is what we believe in.

Q.4How long have you been in the food/restaurant business?

I passed my hotel management studies with a renowned institute in Mumbai. I also did a certified chocolatier course in Canada. Spent 20 years working as an Executive Pastry Chef in luxury hotels, was nominated for influencer award for category trendsetting cake design in 2020.

Q.5 What are the challenges that you faced while starting/doing this business?

To start itself was a big challenge, building a team, rebuilding clientele, restoring faith, and now meeting targets. It has been a rollercoaster. 

Q.6 Any advice you would like to give to the upcoming restaurant/food business owners?

Follow your dreams, for dreams come true!!!
