Q. 1 What inspired you to get into the food industry?

I love to eat dry cakes, fruits, and nuts cake, Rich creamy nuts chocolates, etc But I haven't tried my hands on them before my marriage, Once when I went to Kerala to my in-laws' home for our first Christmas Holidays, my Mom in law baked a yummy rich chocolate cake. My mom-in-law inspired me to start baking. I took the recipe from her and tried baking it, it was a failure, then I tried with small amounts of measurements which was a great success, and then learned to frost the cake professionally, and started learning different flavors from one of my Mentor. 

Q.2Kindly share some information about your business?

As a Homebaker, I operate from my home kitchen, I have a dedicated room for baking delicacies with quality ingredients from dry cakes like walnut cakes, almond cakes, chocolate nut cakes, dates cakes, etc, to frosted birthday cakes, chocolate brownies, eggless cookies. We make homemade chocolates too. like pan chocolates, coffee bites, oats, nuts, peanut bars, and bounty chocolates. We undertake hampers for the festivals as well as corporate orders for chocolates too.  

Q. 3 What is your Unique Selling Point(USP)?

Chocolatiers love the rich and creamy crunchy fillings in the chocolates prepared by us. We curate the hampers and create the memories lingering in the mind palace of our sweet clients. We maintain the highest quality Standards and the best Hygiene, Our products are made with care and loaded with love. 

 Q. 4 How long have you been in the food/restaurant business?

I am in this Industry for past 6 yrs. And still updating my skills. And also i love to spread my knowledge whatever i learnt, so sharing my knowledge by taking classes to the young and passionate bakers.

Q. 5 What are the challenges that you faced while starting/doing this business?

As an amateur baker, delivering was super challenging for me, I used to deliver on my own after baking. It will be too tiring. Then through my friend and fellow baker, I came to know about online delivery and after that, I built a team to deliver the very challenging one. 

Q. 6 Any advice you would like to give to the upcoming restaurant/food business owners?

Stay organized, start with a simple business plan, focus on your passion, Understand the target clients and maintain a personal touch with the clients and existing market. Limit your distractions, find your Niche and provide outstanding customer service.
