Q.1 What inspired you to get into the food industry?

We realized that the availability of authentic Sindhi Cuisine is missing from the local market hence to get this cuisine readily available to everyone's doorstep, Mumma Ki Rasoi started a Cloud Kitchen - fully functioning hygienically from home.

Q.2 Kindly share some information about your business.

Mumma Ki Rasoi initially started with just selling the mouth-melting Sev Barfi but later evolved to various Sindhi Delicacies like Dal Pakwan, Sindhi Koki, Sindhi Kadhi, Sai Bhaji, Aloo Tuk, and irresistible Rabdi loaded with dry fruits along with a wide selection in nonveg items like Seyal Mutton, Sindhi Style Chicken and a variety of Biryanis making us a full-fledged Cloud Kitchen.

Q.3 What is your Unique Selling Point(USP)?

Our unique selling points are we curate an exceptional taste as per the customer requirement and provide a soulful experience in all our dishes especially, Dal Pakwan, Sindhi Kadhi, Seyal Mutton, Rabdi and Dahiwadas.

 Q.4 How long have you been in the food/restaurant business?

This sweet little venture started in early 2020.

Q.5 What challenges did you face while starting/doing this business?

At the initial stage of the business unavailability of manpower was one of the challenges we faced issues in delivering this scrumptious food across Mumbai which we eventually overcame using options of courier services that provide same-day delivery options and also we did try and use the Mumbai Famous constitution of lunchbox delivery that delivers hot lunches from homes. Bringing this cuisine to life was also one of the roadblocks as it was not very familiar to the local Mumbai Market.


Q.6 Any advice you would like to give to the upcoming restaurant/food business owners?

Mumma Ki Rasoi procures local ingredients and makes the best out of them, promoting local ingredients and local services will give a sense of belongingness to the local community and make the food business reach greater heights hence Mumma ki Rasoi vouches for GOLOCAL.
